The Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana, Rt. Hon. Phandu T. Skelemani, MP chaired the meeting of the 19th Standing Committee of the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) Africa Region, held on 9th July, 2024, at Hotel 430 in Gaborone, Botswana.

During the meeting, several key matters were addressed, including the adoption of the minutes from the Standing Committee Meeting held on 17th July, 2023, the proposed agenda and programme for the 19th CSPOC General Meeting, and proposed themes and topics for the 19th CSPOC, 2025.

Additionally, the Chairperson provided an update on the preparations for the 19th CSPOC, in detail.
